Case Study

Acquisition of 25 stores for Specsavers

Brief
Specsavers, the leading international opticians, had a requirement to roll out up to 25 new locations throughout the Republic of Ireland.

JLL through regular introduction of opportunities were appointed in 2009 as sole acquisition agents for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Initiatives
JLL targeted organic growth using our local and national landlord contacts, press releases, agent mail shots, direct unit targeting and other methods.

Acquired 9 stores to date.  Whilst there was initial caution in taking any further stores in 2011, following positive trading results from the recently opened stores, Specsavers have now confirmed they will continue their aggressive expansion in Ireland.  JLL have a further 3 properties currently agreed.
