Promod, the stylish French ladies fashion retailer joins Crescent Shopping Centre line-up

Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick has recorded significant recent letting successes, notwithstanding the tough retail market

New national or international multiple retail occupiers that have opened in Crescent in the last year  include Mothercare, Fields Jewellers, Swamp and Pandora with each occupier reporting that they are exceeding trading expectations.  Earlier in 2011, Café Del Arte, the French restaurant retailer successfully opened their first store beside the Omniplex Cinema. They have recently been joined by Promod, the stylish French ladies fashion retailer, who occupy a unit of approximately 200 sq metres.

Stephen Murray of Jones Lang LaSalle, joint letting agent with DTZ Sherry Fitzgerald, on behalf of the landlords commented that “Promod have over 900 stores worldwide with Crescent Shopping Centre being only their third store to open in Ireland.  The tenants are paying a combination of base rent and turnover top up and are considered to be a very positive addition to the international line-up in the shopping centre”.
A number of other letting negotiations have advanced with multiple retailers keen to secure representation in the centre.  Stephen Murray of Jones Lang LaSalle stated that “Notwithstanding the tough trading environment throughout Ireland, we are seeing a concentration of interest and activity in the larger regional scale schemes which deliver strong footfall and the lowest risk retail expansion opportunities”.
