Holland & Barrett, the leading nutritional supplement retailer in Ireland and the UK, has just signed a lease and are to open shortly in Crescent Shopping Centre, Limerick’s premier shopping centre.
The shop will comprise 136m2, and Holland & Barrett will trade alongside other international retailers in Crescent Shopping Centre such as Zara, H&M, Next, Tesco and Tommy Hilfiger. This represents an excellent opportunity for Holland & Barrett to trade in this leading shopping centre of the south-west with over 2,500 free customer car spaces.
Crescent Shopping Centre is ranked fifth in the CACI reports ranking of all Ireland’s shopping centres. Commenting on the letting, Stephen Murray, Retail Director of Jones Lang LaSalle, said “it represents an excellent show of confidence in the current market that another international brand has chosen to open in Crescent and the addition to the tenant line up has reaffirmed Crescents Regional function serving the greater Limerick and Munster area. In tougher market conditions retailers do become more risk averse and select proven successful schemes for their more limited expansion plans”.
At a rent in the order of €190,000 per annum this analyses at €235 per square foot zone A and is approximately 10% above the established tone of recent rental levels at Crescent Shopping Centre.
Stephen Murray of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord Clancourt Group, and Keiron Diamond of Knight Frank advised Holland & Barrett.
