JLL has published its joint gender pay gap report For JLL Services in Ireland. The real estate advisor began reporting its gender pay gap 3 years ago.

The report’s analysis highlights a clear difference in the average earnings of men and women within the JLL services entity. The main factor is apparent: men hold most of the senior positions and positions that attract higher market rates of pay. In 2024 the average gender pay gap is 9.5%, and the median gender pay gap is 14.4%, marking increases of 1.6% and 2.8% from last year. While the pay gaps are still lower than industry average, JLL services have not seen an improvement.

JLL Ireland Services is a relatively small entity, which means that individual employee movements, such as joiners, leavers and promotions, can have a significant impact on the overall trend. This does not negate the fact that there is a need to continue to double down on attracting and retaining female talent to more senior, higher paying positions.

JLL remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the business reflects a society where equity is prioritized for colleagues, clients, and communities and they are optimistic that they will see positive traction next year as we continue its long-term strategy to achieve gender pay gap parity.

John Moran, chief executive at JLL Ireland, said: "The continued focus for 2024 is encouraging, but we recognize there’s still work to be done to achieve our goals. We’re dedicated to continually narrowing the gap. Our commitment extends to building lasting change and establishing robust foundations that ensure equity for all. We’ve implemented a thorough review process for job descriptions, ensuring gender-neutral language to promote inclusivity for all applicants to JLL.”
